The ONA is assembling volunteer teams to research and recommend community action on a list of critical local issues. These will not be open-ended discussion “committees.” Those scare people off. Instead, we will recruit folks with special expertise or interest to form small, efficient teams that will address specific, targeted assignments and be done. The topics are:
- Emergency Plan and Procedures
- Building Height Regulations
- Bylaws Update (quorum requirements, voting rules)
- Community Internet Access
- Exterior Lighting Standards
- Road Grading Standards
Oceanside is cherished by more than its share of skilled and accomplished people. Much of the anticipated work can be coordinated remotely, so we hope both full-time and part-time residents will apply.
