According to Chris Laity, director of Tillamook County Public Works Department, the design phase of the bypass is 95% complete. Discussions continue with the Water District to minimize the impact to the watershed. The old (closed) road currently remains in the hands of the County but as of this meeting its fate is unknown. Tree removal for the right-of-way can only be done during the winter months due to environmental laws and will likely begin during the winter of 2020/2021. Information about the project can be found at the County website: https://www.co.tillamook.or.us/gov/pw/Projects.htm
