ONA Receives TLT Grant to Design Beach Path Improvements

At its May 9, 2018, meeting, the Tillamook County Board of Commissioners approved the Oceanside Neighborhood Association’s application for $15,000 in Transient Lodging Tax (TLT) tourism “facilities” grant funds to commission a design plan for upgrading the beach path at the Oceanside Beach Recreation Site.  In combination with the Tillamook PUD Community Improvement Grant of $7500 awarded to ONA last month, we now have the financial support necessary to obtain a site survey, procure agency permits and cover engineering fees for construction plans.  ONA has arranged a meeting in early June for the local state park manager, fire department chief, and the county public works director to meet with our engineering firm to outline project parameters and set the wheels in motion.  Thanks again to the many local residents and leaders who provided support for our successful effort so far!  We will keep you updated.
