Incorporation Economic Feasibility Statement: The following statement was included in the petition to the County as part of the incorporation submission packet. This is the version the Commissioners had when they voted to approve the petition. Please note that this version includes the increase in the TLT revenue, but it does not exclude revenue from the Capes (which were excluded from the proposed city boundary by the Commissioners at the time of their vote). See special notes included in the EFS addressing these changes.
Incorporation Task Force and Report: In the summer of 2021, ONA president formed the Incorporation Task Force, charging it with investigating and recommending whether incorporation of Oceanside is a feasible option worthy of community consideration and debate as a way to preserve and enhance the quality of Oceanside’s civic life. The Task Force’s report, including its findings and conclusions, is available here:
